Fantastic entry-level auto watch for any beginner, enthusiast, or WIS This is an absolutely fantastic timepiece. This could be considered an entry level into the world of automatic watches, and with its workhorse 7S36 movement, it should be a serviceable and fantastic companion for any new or old school watch lover. The size is fairly spot on for my size wrist. I tried the 37mm SNK805 version prior to this purchase, but decided to return it on account of my larger wrists that need a bit more watch to fill it out correctly. If you have skinny wrists, or like a smaller dial, be sure to take a look at the SNK805. It uses basically the same movement (7S26) and is equally as stylish (I actually like the dial a bit more, but the size was just too small).I’ve only had this for a couple of days – so I can’t speak to the reliability of my particular example, but it is keeping outstanding time through the first 24-48 hours of use. Comparison to a Timex Expedition I have worn a Timex Expedition(s) for more than 10 years. I loved the styling, 40mm size and Indiglo feature. But I suddenly decided I wanted something new…but in the same military/camping style and size. I agonized for a few weeks over all the models online. The Seiko SNK805 at 37mm was a bit too small and I’m sorry to say I didn’t care for the reversed numbering scheme. Then I spotted the SNZG09. I took the plunge and when I opened the box I was stunned at the quality this watch exudes. I’m not going to repeat the other reviews expect to say this is the best watch I’ve ever owned. Its about 1mm larger diameter than the Timex and very slightly thicker. I have thin arms and this looks just right on me. So agonize no more, I’m now a Seiko owner.TIP 1: the band is a bit stiff out of the box. I twisted mine back and forth for a couple of minutes and it softened up.TIP 2: the clear bottom has an invisible plastic film for shipping. Make sure to remove…
